Increased solar activity will continue to provide excellent
propagation on 15 meters and 17 meters day and night; and 20, 30 and
40 meters at night” says W3LPL, Frank Donovan.  While we in the
northern hemisphere approach the summer solstice we can expect
improved conditions on 12 and 10 meters as sporadic E activity will
increase.  The SWPC is predicting the following SFI in the coming days:

May 15 145  May 16 145  May 17 140  May 18 140  May 19 140
May 20 140  May 21 140  May 22 150  May 23 150  May 24 155
May 25 160  May 26 170  May 27 160  May 28 160  May 29 155
May 30 155  May 31 150  Jun  1 155  Jun  2 160  Jun  3 160

“About two days per week will be degraded by increased geomagnetic
activity, especially next week when very active Sunspot Region 1748
is directly facing the Earth

Maanviljely levisi Suomeen Itä-Aasiasta jo 7000 vuotta sitten
Siitepölytutkimusta ja arkeologiaa yhdistävä tutkimushanke "Kouvolan seutu muinaisuudessa, korpea vai kaskenkaatajia" on selvittänyt vuosina 2010–2012 nykyisen Kouvolan pohjoisosan esihistoriaa ja maankäyttöä jääkaudelta 1200-luvulle jKr. Hankkeen tuloksena on syntymässä uudenlainen näkemys suomalaisen maatalouden alkutaipaleesta.
